Responsibilities:
REHAU Incorporated, a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst / Cost Accountant for the Building Solutions Division reporting to Director of Financial Analysis & Planning based in Leesburg. Position to be based at one of the following three locations, at our Americas regional headquarters in Leesburg, VA; at our manufacturing plant in Cullman, AL. -Specific job responsibilities for the position include: -Act as business partner to Divisional management in the Regional headquartersProvide sales and marketing support to Building Solutions Division in Region AmericasProvide business decision support to the division managementCoordinate with financial counterparts in countries with Region Americas and the Corporate Division in GermanyPrepare division related requests for capital investment, including building business cases and discounted cash flow analyses.Financial analysis on all aspects of the Divisional business performance:Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecastsAnalyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for result improvementsWork closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reportingPrepare monthly forecast for the division Prepare management reports on KPI'sMaintain standard costing systems, including:Raw material prices in various systems from purchasing to material management in SAP -Review changes in raw material prices per the economic material indexes to assist with pricing decisionsUpdate standard cost for raw material price changes on a monthly basis and notify management of all changes -Calculate overhead absorption rates -Coordination with Operations on monthly analysis of actual plant performance against standard costManage and maintain capital investment controls in United States and Canada across all REHAU Industries divisionsParticipate in projects such as S/4 HANA implementation, as needed

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting -or -financeThree or more years of financial analysis and/or cost accounting experience preferred -Experience working in an international manufacturing company preferredExperience -working with engineers and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards preferredGood understanding of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles preferredExperience with ERP systems required (SAP preferred); system implementation experience a plusMust have strong Excel and database skills (including complex formulas and pivot tables)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to switch -priorities and tasks as business needs -ariseExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure, work independently and meet deadlines
