Operations Center Technician 1381 Leesburg, VA Contract Cilent is
seeking for an Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) Technician to
join our Infrastructure support team. This position provides
24X7X365 monitoring and alerts for infrastructure operations and
services. Qualified candidates will monitor the current state of
the production environment and identify unscheduled interruptions
to systems and services when they occur. The position also conducts
trending and deep dive analyses of infrastructure components to
identify and anticipate infrastructure issues before they happen.
When they occur, this position oversees root cause analysis of
problems and service interruptions across the organization, chairs
and facilitates service and system restoration efforts and
communications working closely with Network Operations, Data Center
Services, Solution Delivery, Information Security & Privacy, and
other stakeholders. This position also manages tools that provide
24X7X365 monitoring, alerts and notifications of systems and
services throughout the enterprise. Responsibilities: Provide
coverage for monitoring enterprise systems and services 24X7X365,
12am to 8:30am, M-F Manage and maintain SolarWinds/Orion System.
Complete assigned tasks and small projects with little or no
supervision. Manage and maintain SolarWinds/Orion monitoring and
alerts. Facilitate technical meetings, take detailed notes and
write after action/postmortem reports. Communicate, coordinate and
facilitate ad hoc conference calls among service and system SME to
resolve service interruption affecting production services. Review
and respond to events reported by customers or monitoring tools.
Follow and develop SOPs. Resolve all but unique technical problems
without the intervention of management or a more experienced
technical specialist. Escalate problems to management as necessary.
Develop and recommend techniques to address problem situations.
Meet with customers to identify requirements and appropriate levels
of service. Identify and demonstrate appropriate monitoring
toolsets. Skills Required: General network knowledge of Firewalls,
switches and servers. Such as Windows Servers, Linux Servers,
Active Directory, Cisco Switches, Checkpoint Firewalls, WAN/LAN,
Amazon and Azure Cloud Services, etc. SolarWinds/Orion tools use
experience with the following modules: WPM, APM, SAM, EOC, NPM.
Ability to summarize and communicate technical issues succinctly.
Strong writing skills and ability to develop and follow processes
and SOPs. US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work
in the US is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a
Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to
obtain Government clearance. The Federal Vaccine Mandate affects
this position and as a Federal Contractor, you will be required to
provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination upon offer letter
acceptance. Skills Preferred: Experience working with a large
organization (> 35,000 customers). Experience collaborating with
peer and client teams. Experience working remotely and onsite.
Experience working irregular shifts. Experience using a Helpdesk
system BMC Remedy is a plus. Comp TIA and or Network+
certifications. Education: High school diploma/GED and 13 years IT
experience OR Bachelor's degree with an accredited college in
Information Technology, and 5 years IT experience. Interested can
