Provides clinical services according to MRI practice standards and
acts as a resource to MRI students and other technologists, to
ensure optimal department functions Administers sound patient care
practices according to department and hospital policies and
procedures, to ensure the safety of the patient Demonstrates
magnetic safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in
department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the
safety of the patients and staff Maintains equipment, exam rooms
and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety
of the patients and employees Completes ancillary tasks to ensure
efficient and consistent departmental operations
MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience. Must
be proficient with all MRI exams, to include contrast studies.
7pm- 7am - Monday
Tuesday - Thursday 9-pm- 7am
Graduate of an accredited school of radiography; or graduate of an
accredited school of nuclear medicine with MRI training (must be
MRI Registry eligible through ARRT); or MRI certification from
ARMRIT or CAMRT
ARRT, CNMT (must be MRI Registry eligible through ARRT), ARMRIT or
CAMRT certification; BLS; Must obtain MRI certification within one
year of hire into MRI position.
1 year experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, MRI
Technologist or a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a
Special Skills Effective interpersonal skills, ability to multi
task and make clinical decisions to facilitate patient care.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and spreadsheets as needed to
facilitate clinical care as well as EMR and PACS trouble shooting
as required. Capability to perform on-call, shift, holiday, and
weekends when required.
