Job Description Job Description Workers Comp Attorney Workers Compensation Attorney (Hybrid, 4 days in office) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Workers Compensation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will represent clients in workers compensation claims, providing expert legal advice and advocacy throughout the litigation process. The attorney will focus on helping clients navigate the complexities of the Maryland Workers Compensation system while ensuring they receive fair compensation for their injuries and losses. Key Responsibilities - Represent clients in workers compensation cases before the Maryland Workers Compensation Commission and other relevant authorities - Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and options in workers compensation claims - Prepare and file necessary legal documents, including claims, appeals, and motions - Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies - Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel - Develop case strategies and prepare clients for hearings and trials - Stay updated on changes in Maryland workers compensation laws and regulations Qualifications - JD and barred in Maryland - Experience with hearings before the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission (a must) - Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers compensation law - Strong understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations in Maryland - Excellent litigation and negotiation skills - Proven track record of managing complex claims and cases - Ability to communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals - Strong research and analytical skills - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
