Synergy is looking for an experienced Application Engineer IV to work as part of a STE/STN initiative, developing capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Assess interoperability of enterprise IT metadata. Create custom applications/mechanisms to ingest a variety of data stores. Development of data management infrastructure and associated tools. Save and destroy data based on rules. Ensure quality and usability. Create tools to provide automated reports and information about systems performance to facilitate decisions. Requirements Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and eight (8) years of experience in contracts or programs of similar scope type and complexity. In lieu of a degree, twelve (12) years of relevant experience in contracts or programs of similar scope type and complexity will qualify a candidate for consideration. Required Qualifications: Familiar with cloud development Experience working with data ingest and manipulation (ETL) Database experience (Elasticsearch, SQL) Data manipulation and configuration (Java, Python) Linux Desired Qualifications: Application Containerization (Docker/Docker Swarm) Experience with Kafka Requirements management (Jira) Critical thinking CLEARANCE REQUIRED The qualified individual must be fully cleared in current access with the appropriate MPO client polygraph.
