Advanced Quantum Physicist The Opportunity: Are you excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by quantum information science? We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical and experimental skills to improve quantum computing, communications, and sensing capabilities for the U.S. government. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide direct quantum support. You Have: Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized projects Knowledge of a wide range of quantum computing hardware, control electronics, and environmental control requirements Ability to convey complex concepts to a varied audience both written and verbally Ability to work collaboratively in a manner that leverages various backgrounds and expertise Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience performing research in quantum mechanics and the quantum effects that enable quantum computing, quantum sensing, or quantum networking, Master's degree and 6 years of experience performing research in quantum mechanics and the quantum effects that enable quantum computing, quantum sensing, or quantum networking, or Doctorate degree and 4 years of experience performing research in quantum mechanics and the quantum effects that enable quantum computing, quantum sensing, or quantum networking Nice If You Have: 15 years of experience performing research in quantum mechanics and the quantum effects that enable quantum computing, quantum sensing, or quantum networking Experience leading the development of te chn ology business plans and roadmaps, building and managing teams of scientists and engineers to execute against business plans, and managing asso cia ted resources, including hardware and funding Possession of excellent technical writing skills Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
