POSITION SUMMARY Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a
Senior Cloud Systems Administrator to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2
support for secure, AWS-based enterprise systems in a classified
environment. This role supports cloud infrastructure and customer
applications, troubleshoots Windows and Linux systems, performs
routine maintenance and patching, and ensures compliance with
customer security requirements. The Senior Cloud Systems
Administrator will use ServiceNow for ticketing and system
administration, collaborate with senior engineering teams, maintain
technical documentation, identify opportunities for process
improvement and automation, and support customer communications
while operating within Agile methodologies during scheduled hours
of 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. RESPONSIBILITIES
(not limited to): Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting,
maintenance, and user support for AWS cloud-based enterprise
systems during scheduled hours (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday -
Friday). Use ServiceNow as the primary ticketing and system
administration platform. Support cloud infrastructure and customer
applications, including Microsoft Project and SharePoint, IBM
Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM), Riskonnect, Tableau, and
related tools. Troubleshoot and support Windows- and Linux-based
servers and applications within AWS environments. Perform routine
system and application maintenance, including monthly patching.
Prepare, install, and maintain system components within modern
cloud architectures. Work with identity and access management
technologies, including IdAM, Active Directory, and LDAP. Ensure
systems and applications comply with customer security requirements
and processes. Create, update, and maintain technical
documentation, including process and automation documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, and
document solutions accordingly. Support Tier 3 and Tier 4 personnel
as needed and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders,
including customers and management, both verbally and in writing.
Create and deliver briefings to customers at various levels. Work
in alignment with Agile methodologies while applying solid
engineering rigor, including configuration management and testing.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Must possess an active
Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security
clearance. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science,
Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant professional
experience. Must meet DoD 8570 requirements, including Security CE
or an equivalent certification. 5 years of relevant professional
experience supporting cloud-based enterprise systems. Experience
providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting and administrative
support within AWS environments, including applications such as
Microsoft Project and SharePoint, IBM Engineering Lifecycle
Management (ELM), Riskonnect, Tableau, and digital modeling tools.
Strong background supporting and solutioning complex AWS cloud
infrastructures, with solid troubleshooting and problem-solving
skills. Familiarity with cloud architectures and services,
including Active Directory (AD), LDAP, and AWS-native services.
Experience supporting system security requirements, verification
and validation activities, and maintaining system components.
Ability to review and respond to system alerts using monitoring and
visualization tools such as Grafana. Responsible for routine system
and application maintenance, including monthly patching. Experience
creating and maintaining technical and process documentation, with
strong administrative and engineering rigor. Solid understanding of
working within ServiceNow as a system administrator. PREFERRED
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Experience supporting or assisting with a
total system perspective, including understanding relationships,
dependencies, and requirements across cloud and hybrid services,
infrastructure, and security domains. Experience with additional
cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, or IBM
Cloud. Familiarity with cloud architectures and services. Exposure
to integration of virtualized applications, including application
streaming or layering techniques. Exposure to customer briefings or
stakeholder-facing technical communication. *Applicants selected
