Lead What you will do Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this
vital role you will lead a team driving innovation within the
V&A Analytics insights organization with best-in-class
analytics to help develop better V&A strategies and tactics and
enable successful access strategy for new product launches.
Director will focus on driving cross portfolio innovative projects
across various pillars of the insights team. Working closely with
the Executive Director of the Value & Access Analytics, the
individual in this role will help elevate the analytics
capabilities of the team and provide strategic oversight for cross
portfolio initiatives at the forefront of solving the US Value &
Access teams biggest challenges using cutting edge technology,
positioning Amgen as a leader across industry. You will partner
with USV&A, AI&D, and Tech leadership to ensure product
teams like Contracting IQ / CAP-AI are applying cutting edge data
science methodologies to deliver against our ambitions. You will
bring deep expertise in USV&A data sets, business challenges,
and an understanding of the ecosystem we navigate to guide teams
and identify innovative approaches and solutions. You will empower
and support the team in translating business requirements into
methodologies, rapidly testing hypotheses, and readying proven
solutions for scale. You will be the teams expert on the USV&A
data ecosystem, and a key source of innovative hypotheses and
approaches Your ability to understand big picture business
challenges and the data and analytics implications of solutioning
against them will be critical to your success in this role, as will
an ability to independently move through ambiguity and think
creatively to define innovative solutions to long-standing
challenges. This includes partnering with a cross-functional team
of business and technical resources to define and drive against
execution roadmaps. Youll regularly operate at the intersection of
business leaders and the team of data scientists / technical
experts and will excel at being able to speak the language of both
groups to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and high impact. You
are a highly effective communicator and storyteller, ensuring the
potential impact of the teams work is understood and resonates with
cross-functional commercial leadership. Responsibilities Business
ownership of contracting IQ / PEP-AI Rollout / upgrades to the
contracting platform, CAP-AI Rollout / upgrades and expansion Drive
user adoption and expand the tool capabilities to medical benefit
products including provider contracting and ASP calculation Drive
analytics / insights and integrate multiple data sources to
identify potential impact of any policy changes from the
government, market events like M&A and other interconnected
events Constructively challenge teams by providing disconfirming
information and encouraging Innovative Problem Solving Looks for
opportunities to streamline analytics across different TAs / brand
and bring in innovation Build and maintain strong relationships
with cross functional partners; proactively seeks buy-in and
provides ongoing support to address business needs Lead a team of
15 resources across the US and India, ensuring effective deployment
of the team against our goals, supporting the teams continued
professional development, and providing coaching as needed.
Technical Expertise & Delivery Engage hands-on with technical teams
in development, deployment, and application of applied analytics,
predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics. Engage hands-on
and utilize technical skills such as hypothesis testing, machine
learning and retrieval processes to apply statistical and data
mining techniques. Partner with initiative technical leadership to
develop and integrate custom applications, intelligent dashboards,
and automated workflows that incorporate AI capabilities to enhance
decision-making and efficiency. Collaborate with technical teams to
translate the business needs into technical specifications,
particularly focusing on AI-driven automation and insights. What we

is someone with these qualifications. Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of Business Administration,
Accounting, Finance, Engineering (any), Science (any), Statistics
or related field experience OR Masters degree and 7 years of
Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering (any),
Science (any), Statistics or related field experience OR Bachelors
degree and 9 years of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance,
Engineering (any), Science (any), Statistics or related field
experience Preferred Qualifications: Deep understanding of US
pharmaceutical ecosystem, patient support services offerings, and
USV&A strategies and business challenges. Expertise in
statistical techniques and hypothesis testing, experience with
regression analysis, clustering and classification. Strong
foundation in machine learning algorithms and techniques. Proven
track record of guiding large teams from business challenge, to
hypothesis testing, to PoC, to production and scale. Expertise in
and experience working within USV&A platforms (e.g., Model N,
Validata) and with USV&A datasets (e.g., (SP, IQVIA,
wholesaler). Prior experience in contracts and pricing, direct
payer experience or value marketing and have a good foundational
understanding of the US payer environment and a strong foundation
in the U.S. healthcare market Excellent conceptual problem-solving
skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely
defined problems, pragmatic problem-solving approach, and manage
execution Exceptional written/oral communication skills and
executive presence across functions and across different levels of
leadership Authoritative command of complexity and ambiguity;
ability to see the big picture; ability to collect, digest and
assemble information to enable relevant business analyses Strong
leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence
different styles 8 years of healthcare experience in the
biopharmaceutical industry, health care, and/or strategy consulting
with specific experience and expertise in coverage, access and
reimbursement drivers impacting the biopharmaceutical industry High
degree of analytical and problem-solving skills Exhibits strong
understanding of business strategies Experience in MLOps practices
and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow); Experience in DevOps
tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) Proficiency in Python and
relevant ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
Knowledge of NLP techniques for text analysis and sentiment
analysis Experience in analyzing time-series data for forecasting
and trend analysis Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Experience with Databricks platform for data analytics and MLOps

(excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on
several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills,
