to everyone, everywhere. Reporting to the Director of Global
Business Operations, Spring Health is looking for a Director of
Localization to lead our global translation and quality processes
across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for
managing translation and quality vendor relationships, developing
and executing our localization strategy across teams and regions,
and ensuring a seamless experience for global users. As the owner
of Spring Health’s localization program, you will oversee the
localization budget, define key quality metrics, drive
cross-functional collaboration, and escalate risks to leadership
when necessary. Your expertise will ensure our brand, content, and
products are effectively adapted for international markets while
maintaining quality and compliance. This is a full time position
that is fully remote. What you’ll be doing: Own and lead the
end-to-end localization process across product, marketing, legal,
and other key teams to ensure high-quality, culturally adapted
content. Develop and implement a comprehensive localization
strategy that supports Spring Health’s global expansion efforts.
Manage translation and quality vendors, ensuring
cost-effectiveness, scalability, and adherence to quality
standards. Establish and monitor localization quality assurance
(LQA) processes to maintain linguistic and cultural accuracy.
Define and track localization KPIs, ensuring efficient workflows,
optimized translation memory, and continuous improvement. Partner
with product managers, designers, marketers, and legal teams to
integrate localization into workflows and launch plans. Own and
manage the localization budget, ensuring strategic allocation of
resources and cost optimization. Advocate for localization best
practices across teams, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and
regulatory compliance. Report progress, insights, and risks to
leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on localization
priorities. Lead and mentor a high-performing localization team,
fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational
excellence. What success looks like in this role: Seamless global
experiences: Spring Health’s product, marketing, and legal content
are consistently localized to meet the needs of international
users. Efficient localization workflows: Localization is deeply
integrated into business processes, reducing turnaround times and
increasing scalability. High-quality translations: Localization
quality metrics improve, reducing linguistic errors and increasing
user satisfaction. Cost-effective localization: Vendor
relationships are optimized, leading to cost savings while
maintaining high standards. Cross-functional alignment: Internal
teams view localization as a strategic enabler, and processes are
aligned across departments. Proactive risk management: Localization
challenges and risks are identified early and escalated with clear
solutions. What we expect from you: 7 years of experience in
localization, translation management, or a related field, with at
least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong background in
localization strategy, translation quality management, and global
content adaptation across domains Experience with vendor
management, including negotiation, performance evaluation, and cost
optimization. Expertise with localization tools and technologies,
such as Translation Management Systems (TMS) (e.g., Smartling,
Transifex, memoQ, SDL Trados, Lokalise) and machine translation
(MT) solutions. Familiarity with localization quality assurance
(LQA) processes, translation memory management, and terminology
databases. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a
track record of working closely with product managers, engineers,
marketers, and legal teams. Proven ability to manage budgets and
optimize translation workflows for efficiency and cost savings.
Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or global
organizations, ideally in tech, healthcare, or SaaS industries.
Knowledge of internationalization (i18n) best practices, including
technical constraints in software localization. Strong data-driven
mindset, with the ability to define and track localization KPIs to
measure success and drive improvements. Exceptional communication
and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advocate for
localization at all levels of the organization. Fluency in English
required; additional language proficiency is a plus. The target
base salary range for this position is $164,900 - $214,450, and is
part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options
and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is
determined by a number of factors including experience, location,
internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We
review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using
Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure
