Software Engineer, Cyber Vulnerability, Senior (1348) - Annapolis Junction, 20701, Annapolis Junction, MD, USZapata Technology is seeking an experienced Software Engineer, Cyber Vulnerability, Senior level, for work at Annapolis Junction, Maryland 20701. In this role, successful candidates will design, test, implement, and manage safeguards against cyberattacks on customer stakeholders.Compensation: $140-150K annually depending upon experience.Essential Functions:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cyber Security and development expertise to design, test, implement, and manage safeguards against cyberattacks of the system to include:
• Identify, mitigate, and resolve vulnerabilities within existing security systems. Work directly with penetration testers to perform penetration tests and assess potential security problems.
• Develop organization-wide security measures.
• Prepare performance reports and communicate system status to keep users and leadership informed.
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards, attending educational workshops for increased technical knowledge, and reviewing publications.Required Qualifications and Skills include:
  • Experience with embedded system vulnerability development.Desired Qualifications:
    • Experience working within a Scrum team or agile environment.Certifications:
      • DoD 8570.01-m IAM Level III or IASAE Level III.Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: 9 years.Education Level & Degree Required:
        • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.Position Type: Full time positionClearance: Top Secret SCI.
