Mosaic ATM, located in the Northern Virginia / Washington, DC Metro area, is seeking talented full-time Software Engineers/Developers to add to our great team. What you'll be doing:

• Work with lead and fellow developers to design and develop decision support tools for application in a real-time operational environment, typically developed in Java and/or JavaScript
• Design and development of data parsers for application in a real-time operational environment, typically developed in Java and/or JavaScript
• Design and development of complex algorithms for application in a real-time operational environment, typically developed in Java and/or JavaScript
• Troubleshooting existing software applications
• Analysis and improvement of software system performance
• Participation in technical meetings and discussions
• Some Travel
  What you'll need to bring to this job:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • 2-10 years of experience with object oriented software development, preferably in Java
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Flexibility to move between projects
  • Responsible, Self-motivated, and innovative
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise fully authorized to work in the U.S
    Bonus Points:
    
    • Experience with Maven, GIT, Eclipse, JMS, Spring, Camel, Node.js, npm, and Web Services (REST and SOAP)
    • Experience with JavaScript, Python, and/or R
    • Experience in a Linux or Unix environment, as well as a Windows environment
    • Experience with DBMS including PostgreSQL and Oracle
    • Experience with Hadoop, HIVE, MapReduce and similar big-data technologies
    • Experience with data analytics
    • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure and related cloud services
    • Familiarity with Aviation and/or Air Traffic Control
