Job Description:

The Director, Human Resources is directly responsible for the guiding and direction of the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource operations function.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

* Responsible for the day to day functions of Human Resources Operations
* Manages employee relations, performance management and progressive discipline practices
* Ensure employee onboarding experience aligns with company retention practices
* Work in conjunction with Legal and Finance on development of US and international policies, handbooks, and programs
* Oversees U.S. and international benefit administration and implementation. Identifies best practices and benchmarks to ensure company attracts and retains top talent
* Develops organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives that align with organizational objectives
* Responsible for hiring, training, managing performance and career development for a team of HR professionals
* Ensures that all departmental functions have multiple points of coverage to support the organization.
* Partners with recruiting director to ensure all employment contracts, offer letters are compliant with federal, state, and international law
* Manages the relationship with background check vendor and monitors background checks for completion. Works with recruitment team on any pre and post adverse actions
* Responsible for proposing, developing, implementing and coordinating company programs, policies and procedures to remain compliant with U.S. and international laws
* Maintains company data and responds to RFPs as necessary
* Provide metrics, statistics, department recommendations and strategic planning to the Vice President of HR on a weekly basis
* Stays abreast of trends and new practices across the human resources functions
* Some travel required
* Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

* Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and guide the operations department
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Experience and confidence in making independent decisions based upon facts and precedence
* Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws in US, and best practices and laws in international company locations
* Exceptional interpersonal communication, conflict management and relationship-building skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Solid understanding of Human Resources principles, concepts, best practices, and standards
* Ability to prioritize tasks based upon customer impact
* Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in challenging situations while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity
* Comfortable handling multiple and shifting priorities and proactively communicating status as required
* Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
* Extreme attention to detail
* Exercise critical thinking in all situations
* Must have global and cultural awareness in working with international locations
* Experience working in a fast-paced high-tech environment desirable
* Must deal effectively with demanding and stressful situations
Education and/or Experience:
* Five to seven years' human resources management experience necessary
* International HR experience desirable
* PHR or SPHR certification preferred
* Previous experience with UltiPro a plus
* Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
* Advanced Excel skills
