Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/03/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with valid WV or compact licensure and strong ortho/neuro background for an acute care assignment. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in a hospital Operating Room with 14 suites - Average of 28 surgical cases per day, including ortho, neuro spine, total joints, open fractures, general, and ENT procedures - RN circulator role with 1:1 patient assignment ratio in the OR - Monday through Friday schedule, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm shift length - Weekly and weekend on-call rotations required; one weeknight and one weekend day (7a-7p) per month - Call response time is 20 minutes; if farther, must stay onsite when on call - Scrubs provided - Uses Epic EMR for charting - Three-shift unit orientation provided - First time travelers are not accepted; previous travelers must have been gone for at least 2 years if they completed a 1-year assignment - Former permanent staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler - Block scheduling may be permitted based on unit needs; no self-scheduling - No floating required for this role - Holiday coverage is managed as call responsibility - No housekeeping or aids; techs assist with room turnovers - RNs are not required to interpret telemetry strips in the OR - RT and Pharmacy support available 24/7 /n /n Requirements/n - Active WV or compact RN license required - Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required - Prior experience with ortho and neuro cases preferred - Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required - Must have completed at least 2-3 previous travel assignments - Driver's license address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility - Must provide a valid, unexpired copy of driver's license for consideration /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-624515.
