Job Description:
This Position is Subject to Contract Award JANUS Research Group
is currently seeking an Army Affordability Senior Analyst for a
contract to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8. The DCS G-8
is the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA)
and the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and
Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Programming phase of the Planning,
Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The DCS, G-8
coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition,
Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming
and process recommendations related to ongoing and future
acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The
DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program
funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization
enterprise. Position Description: Serves as the Senior Analyst for
Affordability within the Data Integration Division. Provides
analytical expertise to assess and model affordability of Army
modernization portfolios across the POM and SPAR cycles. Develops
cost analyses, life-cycle estimates, and affordability trade-space
assessments to inform senior leader decisions. Integrates
financial, requirements, and capability data from CAMS, AE2S-M, and
AESIP to produce dashboards, reports, and briefings that ensure
resource-informed modernization strategies. Coordinates with
ASA(FM&C), T2COM, and ARSTAF to align affordability metrics
with Army investment priorities. Relevant Competencies / Skill
Levels: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business A
minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force
Development duties; Demonstrates expert analytical and financial
management skills in assessing affordability of Army modernization
portfolios and programs. Proficient in developing cost models,
lifecycle estimates, and trade-space analyses to inform investment
and resource allocation decisions. Skilled in integrating
financial, capability, and readiness data from systems such as
CAMS, AE2S-M, and AESIP. Possesses advanced analytical and
communication abilities to produce clear, data-driven insights that
ensure modernization initiatives remain executable and
