Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in
the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area, is seeking a skilled X-ray
Technologist to join our team. Our institution is committed to

community needs. The X-ray Technologist will be instrumental in
providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, essential for
the accurate diagnosis and treatment plans of our patients. This
role requires precision and a compassionate approach to patient
care, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for every patient
during radiological procedures. Prepare patients for X-ray
procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
to achieve the best results. Operate X-ray equipment to produce
images of tissues, organs, bones, and vessels. Maintain patient
safety by adhering to radiation protection protocols. Collaborate
with radiologists and other healthcare team members to evaluate
image quality and provide insights into necessary follow-up tests.
Maintain accurate patient records and radiographic files. Regularly
inspect and perform routine maintenance of X-ray equipment to
ensure operational efficiency. Assist in the implementation of new
techniques and protocols in radiology. Proficiency in operating
X-ray and radiographic equipment Strong understanding of radiation
safety and protection principles Excellent communication skills for
interacting with patients, families, and medical staff Ability to
interpret radiological images and assist with diagnostics
Detail-oriented and precise in conducting tests and maintaining

Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT) Current state license as a Radiologic Technologist
