This role focuses on delivering exceptional care through the supervision of respiratory therapy services across our facilities. The successful candidate will ensure all respiratory care is compliant with our high standards and regulatory requirements, and they will be pivotal in shaping and guiding the future of respiratory services within Encompass Health. Manage and supervise the respiratory therapy department staff. Develop and implement respiratory care policies and procedures. Ensure the department complies with all local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee the ongoing training and education of the respiratory therapy team. Monitor and optimize patient care, ensuring all services are safe, effective, and compassionate. Collaborate with other department leaders to integrate respiratory services with broader patient care plans. Leadership and management Expert knowledge in respiratory therapy techniques and devices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and critical thinking Capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities Proficiency with healthcare IT systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) BLS/ACLS certified
