Job Description Job Description Associate or Bachelor's degree
in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology
(ARRT), and 1 year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not
meet these qualifications will not be considered. An experienced
Cardiovascular Technologist with specialized skills in
catheterization lab procedures is needed for a 13-week contract in
Fairfax, VA. This role requires advanced expertise in diagnostic
and interventional cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular
procedures within a fast-paced, high-volume cath lab setting. Key
Responsibilities: Perform complex procedures including left and
right heart catheterizations, PCIs, CTOs, peripherals, and assist
with advanced devices such as Impella pumps, balloon pumps, and
Rotablator systems. Provide expert support for electrophysiology
studies including cardioversion, ablations, and pacemaker or
defibrillator implantations. Utilize advanced skills in scrubbing,
monitoring, and EKG interpretation to ensure procedural success and
patient safety. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary
teams in a facility running four labs with a daily caseload of
25-30 cases. Adhere to all safety protocols and sterile techniques
maintaining compliance with clinical standards. Qualifications &
Experience: Required credential: RCIS or ARRT certification.
ARRT-certified candidates must possess valid state licensure;
temporary licensure process is accepted. Demonstrated proficiency
with left heart catheterization (LHC), LHC PCI, right heart
catheterization (RHC), peripherals, Impella insertion, balloon
pumps, and Rotablator use. Certified in BLS and ACLS. Experience
with EKG vitals collection, 12-lead EKG, and rhythm interpretation.
Preferred additional skills include IV start, phlebotomy, Watchman
procedures, septal closure, and familiarity with EPIC. Schedule &
Work Hours: 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts, 07:00 AM to 5:30
PM. On-call duties include 2-3 call shifts per week and 1-2 call
weekends within a 6-week period. Scrubs provided onsite. Location
