Hospital experience preferred Description: This position requires a
Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical. Candidates will
work the night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 PM to
7:30 AM. Weekend shifts will be needed, likely every other week.
Candidates must pass a clinical screening to be evaluated for
clinical fit. If the candidate passes the clinical review, they
will be sent to management for a final decision. Interviews are not
guaranteed, and scheduling requests cannot be accommodated. The
registered nurse will be responsible for caring for COVID-19
patients, among other patient populations. The facility is tobacco
and fragrance-free; candidates should be notified before
submission. There are no float requirements specific to this unit,
but candidates may float to other medical surgical floors as
necessary. The nurse will care for a patient ratio of 5 to 6
patients per shift. Special procedures may include caring for
stable post-open heart surgery patients transferred from ICU. The
nursing team works alongside interdisciplinary support including
physical therapy and respiratory services. Additional patient
diagnoses may include CHF exacerbations, respiratory illnesses, and
sepsis. Skills and experience in telemetry, IV management, and
wound care are essential. The facility has 35 beds and a daily
patient census of approximately 30. Candidates should be able to
manage general medical surgical care with a focus on adult and
