ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday for nights) • Holiday rotation schedule • Patient ratios of 1:1-2 for ICU and 1:3 for stepdown • Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS • TNCC certification preferred • Work with EPIC electronic medical record system • Manage typical ICU drips including moderate conscious sedation using Braun IV pumps • Use Phillips cardiac monitors with central monitoring station • Handle post cath lab patients to balloon pumps (no open hearts) • Work with ventilated patients (Servo & Hamilton vents managed by RT) • No floating outside of ICU for travelers unless working float pool assignment • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs, navy or white jacket, white or navy undershirt, natural hair colors only • Distasteful tattoos must be covered • 1-2 shifts of unit orientation with preceptor following general hospital orientation • Block scheduling available if specified in contract • Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility Facility: This medical center operates a 20-bed ICU with an average daily census of 16-17 patients. The unit functions as a combined MICU/SICU with some cardiac capabilities, providing comprehensive critical care services. The facility features 24/7 respiratory therapy, pharmacy services, and pulmonary critical care intensivists during day hours with hospitalists covering nights. The unit supports both ICU and stepdown needs for the facility and maintains modern equipment including cardiac monitoring systems integrated directly with the electronic medical record.
