Job Description:
As a Urology Scrub / Surgical / Laser Technologist at
{EMPLOYER-DESC}, you will play a critical role in our dynamic
healthcare team, focusing on surgeries related to urology. You will
work closely with surgical teams to prepare and maintain medical
instruments, equipment, and the operating room to ensure a safe,
effective environment for patient care. Your expertise with
surgical procedures, laser technology, and patient care underpins
the success of our urological surgeries and outcomes. Prepare
operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and
materials. Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary
instruments and materials, handling lasers and other technologies
specific to urology surgeries. Maintain a sterile environment in
the operating room at all times to prevent contamination or
infection. Assist in the installation, manipulation, and removal of
catheters, stents, or other surgical devices. Work with surgical
team to monitor and manage patient care before, during, and after
surgical procedures. Conduct pre-operative and post-operative
checks of laser and surgical equipment, ensuring all tools function
properly. Participate in training sessions to keep up-to-date with
the latest surgical techniques and safety protocols. Maintain
detailed records of surgical procedures and patient outcomes for
future reference and compliance. Strong understanding of surgical
procedures and medical terminology related to urology. Proficient
in handling surgical and laser equipment. Excellent manual
dexterity and attention to detail. Ability to maintain focus and
composure under pressure during complex surgical procedures. Strong
communication skills for effective teamwork and patient
interaction. Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection
control protocols. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the National Board
of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is
preferred. Certification in Laser Safety and Operations is
beneficial.
