Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Ranson, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,338 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - PALS Must-Have: Positive attitude and willingness to work Description: The unit has a total of 10 beds, split between ICU and telemetry. Ratios may range from 1:3 to 1:5, depending on patient acuity. Candidates must be proficient in using Phillips cardiac monitors. Nurses will typically float to MedSurg with a full assignment, though this is rare. All patients on the unit may have various diagnoses, including those requiring ventilation, surgical recovery, and medical management. Nurses will be expected to manage drips, vents, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen. The unit has a hospitalist in-house during daytime hours, and a family medicine resident covers after hours. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy can be contacted for resources as needed. Travelers are not permitted to self-schedule but may have options for block scheduling based on unit needs. Nurses are required to provide their own navy blue scrubs, which must be neat and clean. Candidates are expected to comply with grooming standards and cover excessive or distasteful tattoos. The position requires candidates to work weekends and holidays as part of the regular schedule. Candidates should possess and demonstrate a positive attitude throughout their contract.
