Job Title: Radiation Therapist Profession: Radiation Therapist Specialty: Radiation Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certifications: Current CPR Certification required Must-Have: - Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Current CPR Certification Description: Prepares and applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Works under the general supervision of the Manager and Lead Therapist. Operates all Radiation Oncology related equipment, including CT simulator, linear accelerator, QA dosimeters, diode system, and various computer equipment. Accurately delivers the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy according to departmental protocols and established practices and standards. Minimum supervision is required while performing duties.
