Cross Country Locums (formerly MDA) is seeking Board Certified Anesthesiologist provider for locums coverage in Virginia. Below are the details: Dates: Nov 1 2022 - Feb 5 2024 Pay Rate Negotiable $275-$300/hr Desired Schedule: 7a-330p Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Worksite Setting: Inova Loudoun Hospital : 325 bed Hospital - Currently Level III trauma status, but is moving to Level II Status in early 2023 Anesthesia services is provided in the following locations: • Main OR = 9 ORs adding 2 additional ORs in early 2023 • Endo Suites – 2 Endo Suites • Inova Heart/Vascular: One anesthesia provider M-F. Ablations, TEEs, etc. • OB: estimated 4,000 deliveries annually. 3 CSections Room • MRI/ CAT • Type of cases: o General Surgery o Orthopedic o GYN o Urology o Spines o Thoracic o Neurosurgery o Pediatric - predominantly health peds (ENT, Urology, Ortho) • Anesthesia services provided 24/7. Have minimum of One Physician and One CRNA in house overnight and weekends Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center: • 5 ORs o Ortho, Urology, ENT, General Surgery • 3 Endo Suites • 2 Procedure Rooms (Ophthalmology) • ASA Level 1 or 2 cases • Cyramed/ SimplifyASC for Charting Group overview: • 13 Physicians (4 Vacancies backfilling with Perdiem and extra hours) o 2 Fellowship trained in Pediatrics o 1 OB Fellowship Trained o 2 Pain Fellowship Trained • 28 FT CRNAs (currently only 4.15 FTEs as Full or part time - backfilling with Perdiems) • Physicians and CRNAs work in a medically directed model 4:1. Responsibilities - Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department - Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures - Pre-anesthesia assessment - Obtains and/or verifies patient consent - Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient - Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia - Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition - Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements M.D./D.O.
