A leading acute care hospital located in Northern Maryland is currently searching for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join their accomplished healthcare team.
This hospital has been known as a leading healthcare provider for the DMV region for over the past 20 years. This hospital is proud to be part of a large and well-known health system in the area. The system is comprised of multiple hospital locations and urgent care clinic settings as well as providing primary care, family medicine, and a wide range of specialty services. This hospital boasts medical excellence throughout its 300-bed healthcare facility and prides itself on being one of the area's largest employers with nearly 3,000 healthcare professionals onsite.
The Cardiac Cath Technologist will be a certified ARRT Cath Lab Technologist and will perform a variety of invasive, diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures. The Cardiac Cath Technologist will be involved with a number of anatomical systems of the body in both adult and geriatric patient populations. The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist requires an ARRT Certification for consideration of hire. CV Certification or RCIS Certifications preferred.
The Cardiac Cath Technologist will utilize invasive imaging procedures that allow the medical staff to evaluate quality of patient heart function. The Cardiac Cath Technologist will work on a number of different cases including coronary artery disease, heart valve problems such as leakages and obstructions, angioplasty, stenting to improve circulation, and in some instances, surgery is necessary. There is a 30-minute response time required for the Cardiac Cath Technologist for Code Heart call. The Cardiac Cath Technologist will receive training to ensure knowledge of radiographic, cardiac and peripheral vascular anatomy and procedures. The Cardiac Cath Technologist will also be trained to scrub and circulate in a number of procedures.
