About the roleWe are seeking a strategic and experienced
Assistant Vice President of Procurement.Directs and leads all
aspects of an organization's procurement function. Develop policies
and procedures related to the procurement of goods and services,
including Information Technology. Requires a bachelor's degree with
at least 10 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a
variety of industry concepts, practices and procedures. Rely on
extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is encouraged.What you
will do
All newly hired people leaders with direct reports are required to
complete a comprehensive leadership development program within
their first year. This program includes both virtual and in-person
training. The in-person sessions will take place at Symetra's
corporate headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.Symetra covers all
