Are you a BIG KID at HEART?Then join Fleming Therapy, where Work meets Play!Fleming Therapy, a leading provider of children s therapy services, is currently seeking an experienced pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join us as our Early Intervention Services Manager in Loudon County, Virginia! This is salaried position that offers a great mix of direct services within EI birth-three, along with people and process management. As an early interventionist, you have the ability to make a positive impact on a child, while coaching their family members through interventions based on their daily routines, in the child s natural setting. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and various other medical professionals to plan and carry over goals while working on the Individual Family Service Plan.As a Service Manager you will have the opportunity to coach and influence clinicians, educators and other service team members though mentorship, performance reviews, and administrative and educational development endeavors. You will work closely with members of our marketing team and the county to oversee processes and communication about referrals, and you will work closely with our billing and revenue cycle management teams to ensure financial success, as well as our leadership and operations team to work towards department goals.Preferred candidates will have at least three years of experience in Early Intervention and a minimum of two years of management experience. Candidates must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia.This is a salaried position offering an excellent benefits package.Essential Functions of the position include:Perform appropriate early intervention evaluations and accurate interpretation of results. Develop and implement IFSP, including outcomes, objectives, progress monitoring methods and service delivery recommendations.Insure proper and timely documentation for each child and family. Modify Early Intervention programs/IFSPs as child s and/or family status changes and document all change appropriately.Assist families and caregivers in enhancing their ability to maximize their child s overall development through actively involving them during the early intervention session. Coach and educate families/caregivers on age-appropriate milestones for their child s growth and development.Oversee staff productivity, working with staff and center managers to evaluate, and ensure the appropriate scheduling is completed.Manage vacation and illness coverage along with other managers as needed and evaluates the needs for new staff. Process PTO requests for EI staff.Facilitate company s policies and procedures. Oversee policy & procedure manual changes as they relate to the early intervention division, ensuring that all early intervention staff are educated in all changesServe as a liaison between the county representatives and early interventionists. Provide updates on county policy/procedural changes to staff.Assign all EI referrals to staff.Contribute to annual performance reviews for birth-3 early interventionists.Oversee day to day actions of employees regarding maintaining professionalism.Orient new staff to EI policies and procedures.Coordinate communication between families, therapists, and agencies. Address family issues regarding complaints or scheduling issues.Address county issues regarding complaints.Work with other managers and marketing team to manage referrals and productivity within appropriate division.Oversee processes performed by the EI biller for counties.Attend county meetings.Assist and participates in company and community events as needed.Oversee that all documentation is completed according to county requirements.Prepare county invoices for monthly payment if required.Plan, organize, and establish priorities for tasks for internal and external customers to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the programsComplete and maintain pertinent Company, County, and State data entry (example: Raintree, Excel)Gather and analyzes statistical information required for reports. Complete all operating reports on a regular basis.Participate in recruitment of staff, including assisting in the interview process as needed.Ensure that all files are complete and up to date and staff database is complete and current.Participate in internal and external audits as needed.Oversee QA programsAssist in marketing program for the EI division.Other duties as assigned.Fleming Therapy Services is part of The Theraplay Family of Companies, offering services to children in the community through our Early Intervention and Educational Services Departments, as well as our Pediatric Outpatient Centers located throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia.
