As part of Operational Risk Management (ORM), you'll work with talented associates to provide oversight and effective challenge to ensure that our businesses effectively manage operational risk. This includes enabling our organizations to maintain a sustainable and holistic operational risk profile in order to deliver superior products while also protecting our customers. You'll also bring your unique perspective and experiences to help us be rigorous, curious and creative.As part of the ORM team, the Business Continuity Risk Management (BCRM) team is focused on developing and executing oversight responsibilities within the second line-of-defense for Capital One. - The selected candidate will serve as both an effective challenger and a trusted advisor, performing analysis on risk information to advance Business Continuity risk management practices in our lines of business.Successful Senior Risk associates possess integrated and creative problem solving skills, solid business judgment, and process or project management experience. They will have exposure across lines of business in order to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Senior Risk Associates will develop a deep appreciation for overall operational risk, our Regulatory Environment and the importance of a strong risk management framework to the banking industry and Capital One. - -Specific responsibilities include and are not limited to:

• Risk Advising to one or more Business Areas relative to their business lines and provide advice and guidance as required
• Develop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across the enterprise
• Identify and manage tasks and events related to proactive risk management initiatives to reduce the residual risk within the business; partner with applicable business areas to define/ implement remediation activities
• Execute processes and deliverables that support internal team governance processes
• Deliver on a subset of the program deliverables including drafting communications, writing and editing policies, procedures, audit remediation responses, etc.
• Create, edit and manage multiple facets of risk reporting
• Manage tasks and activities related to risk management initiatives -
• Support risk teams with ad-hoc deliverables and investigations
• Deliver materials requested in audits and exams with various stakeholders across the organization
• Initiating and executing process improvements and leveraging other team members when appropriate
• Perform risk assessments through detailed analysis to proactively identify and assess compliance to BCRM Requirements
• Responsible for analyzing and proactively identifying trends in BC Risks
• Participate in an on-call crisis management rotation
• Attend professional meetings and participate in training and other educational offerings to keep abreast of new developments related to business continuityBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Project Management or Business Process ManagementPreferred Qualifications:
    • At least 3 years of Risk Management experience
    • At least 3 years of experience in Project Management or Process Management
    • Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or DRI BC (Business Certification)
    • At least 1 year of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients -
    • At least 1 year of experience or proficient experience creating and maintaining information in Google Suite Products (Slides, Sheets, etc.)
    • Familiarity with Technology controls
    • Experience in Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel)
