Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Address: 1700 13th Street, Everett, WA 98201 Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM (5x8-Hour Nights) Contract Type: Travel Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) to join their Surgical Services team. This contract role supports high-volume surgical activity in a Level II Trauma Center , specializing in complex procedures such as orthopedics, robotics, neurology, urology, and more . Candidates must bring strong skills in sterilization, decontamination, and instrumentation processing , along with a collaborative mindset and attention to quality. Key Responsibilities: Perform all phases of instrument decontamination , assembly , and sterilization Assemble and wrap surgical trays according to preference cards and sterilization standards Manage and document sterilization using SPM instrumentation tracking and biological/chemical indicators Perform flexible endoscope reprocessing (including TEE probes, bronchoscopes, cystoscopes) Support a wide range of surgical specialties including: Ortho/Total Joints Neuro General Surgery Robotics Cardiac, Vascular, Urology, OB/GYN, ENT, Transplant Ensure proper handling of loaner trays , implants , and specialty instrumentation Use Sterrad, Steris, ETOH, and Steam sterilization techniques Operate ultrasonic washers, scope washers, and other reprocessing equipment Rotate weekends as scheduled (minimum 1 per month; possibly 2) Participate in ongoing education as part of a teaching department environment
