Warehouse Worker/Sorter/ 2nd shift The Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting materials on the conveyor line by performing the following duties. Job Duties: Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in container according to type, size, condition, coloring or paper grade. Pull contaminants out of paper or off the floor Stack boxes and skids. Discard boxes and totes of material. Place material, such as wastepaper onto conveyor. Clean up by the conveyor and surrounding sorting lines. Keep the surrounding work area clean. Read monitor for machine start up and ensure machine is operating properly and at a moderate speed. Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment. Report any worker-public safety factors and/or equipment malfunctions. Will lift less than 30 pounds throughout the day Safety Requirements: Must have steel toed 6 inch lace up boots No long hanging jewelry Must wear long sleeves, preferably no hoodies that can get snagged on to anything 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday and some Saturdays $18.00 Everify Background / drug test performed after 38 days of working at the site.
