Content Specialist/ Writer Job Summary: We are looking for a Content Specialist/ Writer to join a rapidly growing consultancy firm. You will be supporting a client located in the Alexandria, VA. As a Content Specialist/ Writer, you will be responsible for developing content, blogs, short stories, and brand cohesion. We're looking for a creative self-starter who can work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplined team. Content Specialist/ Writer Responsibilities: Write and review content for client issue/advocacy campaigns. Write or review other content, such as video scripts, demand-generation content, or print marketing collateral. Synthesize original company content, including research, news articles, and editorials. Create original web-based articles, such as profiles, insights, trends, and case studies, that support project objectives. Collaborate with team members and clients to develop content. Identify and brainstorm new strategies, tools and features to engage the online audience, and stay abreast of new technologies, trends, and strategies. Evaluate the effectiveness of original content through the analysis of pageview growth, organic search. Monitors digital storytelling trends, best-practices, and incorporates new and emerging opportunities into the editorial calendar. Conducts regular content audits to ensure material is meeting client and project goals/objectives. Content Specialist/ Writer Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, or English is preferred. 5-7 years of equivalent work experience in content writing and strategy. Strong communicator (oral & written). Comfort in a consulting role, possessing flexibility and responsiveness to client demands. Editorial writing and creative writing experience desired. Additional experience in marketing, advertising, or communications. Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize tasks. Strong time and project management skills, including ability to work under deadline pressure.
