We hope you'll enjoy the sweet hospitality and iconic chocolate details around every corner. /n Pool lifeguards ensure the safety of our guests at Hershey Lodge while providing courteous, friendly, and professional assistance. /n As a Part-Time Team Member, you will enjoy sweet perks like FREE admission and parking to Hersheypark, discounts on food & shopping, and more as soon as you receive your Employee ID! /n Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): /n /n - /n Overseeing and enforcing swimming pool and attraction rules and safety regulations.* /n /n - /n Anticipating, recognizing, and responding to aquatic emergencies.* /n /n - /n Monitoring equipment and supplies.* /n /n - /n Maintaining work area and surrounding environment.* /n /n - /n Lifeguards must maintain lifeguard and first aid skills at "test ready" level at all times.* /n /n - /n Participate in weekly lifeguard in-service training.* /n /n - /n Perform other job related duties as assigned /n /n /n Qualifications: /n /n - /n Must be at least 16 years of age or older on the date of applying. /n /n - /n Applicants must attend and complete the Ellis & Assoc. International Pool and Lifeguard Training Program provided and paid for by the Hershey Entertainment and Resorts properties. /n /n /n Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: /n /n - /n Ability to handle stressful working conditions, emergencies, and to accept a high degree of accountability. /n /n - /n Must be able to swim 100 yards using front crawl or breaststroke without resting. /n /n - /n Must be able to feet first surface dive and retrieve a 10 lb. brick from a minimum depth of 8 ft. (or deepest depth of the facility) and bring it to the surface. /n /n - /n Must be able to tread water without using arms for 1 minute. /n /n - /n Must be able to safely exit pool without use of stairs, ladders, or zero depth. /n /n - /n Must be in good physical condition. /n /n - /n Must have normal vision.
