Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client in the Bennington, Vermont area. In this Staff Accountant role, you will contribute to This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments and play a key role in maintaining efficient financial operations. Responsibilities: • Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies. • Create and review standard accrual and adjusting journal entries based on thorough analysis. • Reconcile accounts, including fixed assets, intercompany balances, deferred revenue/expenses, investments, and bank accounts. • Provide support for annual audits and internal auditing initiatives. • Manage the administration of the corporate travel account. • Assist the Accounts Payable team with vendor profile updates and corporate payment reconciliations. • Evaluate processes to identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities. • Assist with financial statements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 1 years of experience in accounting or financial roles. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Experience with account reconciliation. • Familiarity with travel account administration and vendor management is a plus.
