Remote schedule Job Details Job Details: We are actively seeking a passionate and experienced Consulting Controller to join our dynamic team. This is a contract-to-hire position, providing an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact on our company's financial health and growth. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial management within the engineering industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector, and a strong background in financial reporting, month-end close processes, and project management. Responsibilities: As a Consulting Controller, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of our company's financial operations. This includes, but is not limited to: Overseeing and managing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of month-end close processes. Developing and implementing effective financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals. Working closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting. Serving as the primary point of contact for all financial inquiries and audits. Utilizing Unanet to streamline financial processes and improve financial visibility. Collaborating with senior management to align financial management with short and long-term strategic objectives. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Consulting Controller position will have the following qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role within the engineering, architectural, or construction industry. Proven experience using Unanet or Deltek Ajera and other financial management software. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close processes, and project management. Excellent strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions based on detailed analysis. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred. Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
